“I have had the pleasure to engage Joseph Cosco on a number of occasions, to employ his numerous skills to the maintenance, renovation and restoration of my 50 year old home which is of the architectural style known as Modern.
Although a west coast post and beam structure, the basic building materials are cement block, stucco and stone. Joseph was able to blend new applications of rock work seamlessly with the old, even matching the texture and patina of 40 year old grouting!
Joseph’s inventiveness to solve the riddle of creating an exterior deck surface above a room, of a long-lasting, weather resistant, removable (if necessary) installation, became a cement paver application resting on styrofoam and rubber. The result is a perfectly smooth, low maintenance, reasonably priced, elegant outdoor dance floor. Brilliant!
Joseph’s flawless installation of three pairs of custom made, wooden double doors into existing 50 year old imperfect and settled doorway jambs is testament alone to his patience, perseverance, and unwavering attention to detail.
Painting 3 storeys up, from a ladder, on his own? No problem ~ efficient, well-priced and beautifully executed!

“Joseph Cosco has worked with us for well over ten years. He began by making major property repairs; a huge outdoor concrete fireplace had tipped over and was lying on its back (the aftermath of a flood years before), the patio cinder blocks were all broken and uneven from that same flood. Joseph was able to hoist the fireplace up, move it to a different location, reface it and create a mosaic style patio around it. The broken patio blocks were taken away and replaced with old country concrete pavers interspersed with natural stone with a unique artistic design in the centre. Two undernourished grassy areas were dressed and set with Pennsylvania bluestone creating two beautiful useable areas.
The long natural creek running through the property had been undercutting the banks for years; Joseph has executed a riparian area restoration.
He has a wonderful artistic sense and has created beautiful green space areas that suit our taste from what had been overgrown brush. His work using natural rocks, has made what had been waste into a focal point. An educated horticulturist, his talents excelled when he created outdoor spaces that both worked within our budget and require very low maintenance.
